SPACE ECONOMY ARCHITECT | MICHAEL KOETSIER
Strategic Advisor for Space Economy Development & STEM Education
With extensive leadership experience at Skyrora UK Ltd., a pioneering UK technology company in developing low-cost satellite launch systems, British expert Michael Koetsier has directly participated in expanding space accessibility for countries and businesses globally. Previously, he was a key representative of SQA (Scottish Government), specializing in connecting education and industry in the Asia-Pacific region, including Vietnam.
With a background in international trade, investment, and economic development, Michael Koetsier focuses on building competitive industries through policy, human resources, and investment capital. According to him, today’s space economy is defined by practical applications: from telecommunications, Earth observation, agriculture, and logistics to healthcare and artificial intelligence.
As one of the first to lay the foundation for the Vietnam Space Week concept, he continues to actively promote the connection between STEM education, businesses, and the space industry in Vietnam.
“Today’s space race is not just about who reaches orbit first, but which nation can build the strongest space economy ecosystem.”
